How to Reach

Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport is nearest to Machu Picchu in Cusco (77.2 km away). To get the Cusco´s airport you can take a flight from the capital Lima and after an 1 hour approximately you´ll be in Cusco. Then you can reach by bus or train at Muchu Picchu.

Bus operates from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu and the ride takes about 40 minutes. The main bus stop in Aguas Calientes is located on Avenida Hermoas Ayer. The buses arrive at the entrance gate to Machu Picchu.

 

Machupicchu or Machupicchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes. You can take the Inca Trail or the Salcantay route, ride the train from Ollantaytambo (90 minutes) or from near Cusco (2.5 hours), Once in Aguas Calientes, you can take the shuttle bus or hike up to Machu Picchu.
