Faa'a International Airport (Tahiti International Airport) is main airport to reach Bora Bora. which is in Papeete. Papeete is the capital city of French Polynesia. From this airport you have to take domestic airline to reach Bora Bora Airport (BOB) which also known as Motu Mute Airport. then by boat you can reach main island of Bora Bora.

Le Truck' is the local bus system. bus that goes halfway around the island and back every hour or so. It is not very reliable for tourists. The best mode of transportation on the island is a rental bike.

Ferry is available for transit between Bora Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa and the small island of Maupiti. Ferry also available from Moto Mute to  Vaitape. which takes 30 minutes.
