Male International Airport (MLE) is main airport in Maldives which connect all major countries in South-East Asia including India, China and Sri Lanka. It is also known as Velana International Airport. The airport is located in the North Male Atoll on Hulhule Island which is near the capital island of Male. From airport you can get ferry to reach Maldives city.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) provide local bus services which connect from the airport to other parts of the island. Private bus services are also available.

Ferries and speedboats (taxi boats) is the best way to get around the island nation of Maldives. Dhoni is a type of Maldivian boat and is relatively cheap.
